They say three of any thing makes a collection. There's nothing I love more than spending time scouring the aisles of flea markets or the nooks and niches of an antique shop looking for my collections. HAPPY HUNTING

Three Of Anything

This has been a long busy day. Out the door at 545. In my OR at 630 getting ready for my first case of the day. My schedule today was 3 surgeries in 8 hrs. All the surgeons were happy and all the patients did great. I left work headed for my sweet 91 yr old Moms to spend some quality time with her. I arrived home around 830pm. A quick shower, my favorite pj's, my dog Heidi, and the best part, my lap top. I must admit I love to get lost in all the wonderful blogs. I haven't blogged for a few days so I took a few quick pictures to post tonight.

White Wednesday

I just love the look of a country white washed table.

The green in the apples and plants add just enough color to this buffet.

There is nothing more inviting then crisp white bed linens.

Silver Sunday

This beautiful coffee set was given to me by my dear friend Judy Griffith on one of our annual trips to Jefferson.

This silver tray sits on my entrance table. I like to decorate it with holiday items.

This tray has a wonderful copper patina from the aging of the tray.

I am always amazed by the detail on some of the trays.

I used this as a cake stand for my daughters wedding cake.

A silver wine bucket can be used in so many ways.

Designed My First Banner

I'm so excited. I came home from work and decided to try and design my own banner. I searched the net for free vintage Valentines and found Heather Bullardhttp://http://heatherbullard.typepad.com/heather_bullard_collectio/2009/02/vintage-valentines.html. I ran my text from 1001 Free Fonts http://http://www.urbanfonts.com/. I simply taped the images to construction paper, added a few flowers, and stickers. Next I scanned my image. Be sure you check the box that says shrink to fit. It's not very professional but its my blog design.......WHO KNEW?

Signed With Love

e These great pillows were designed by Carol Bolton. This was a quaint tradition of sailors' They would look sweet on a dressing table or hanging from a ribbon. Get out the prettiest things in your scrap box and design one of your own.

DREADED CLEAN UP

Yes the time has finally come. The magic of Christmas decorations are my favorite time of the year. As I carefully pack each and every treasured item away I can't help but ask myself "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?"
